PODCAST: Cyber is as much psychology as it is technology

Pierre Noel, Managing Director EMEA for ISTARI, shares his insights on the way that culture impacts security, the importance of threat intelligence if your organisation is ready for it and why he believes things are likely to get worse before they get better.

The risks that nearly every CISO faces are largely the same in any country or enterprise, the main differences are the sophistication and the culture. You cannot take something that applies to one culture and drop it into a completely different one. This means that although the risks can be the same, the way you address them has to be different.

Pierre also states that behind every cyber security incident is a human being. The means that understanding the psychology behind attacks allows you to understand the outcomes.
