Elaine Bucknor is a technologist who has operated at the forefront of the digital landscape for over three decades, navigating the intersection of complex technology, commercial growth, and organisational resilience. She is an Executive Advisor at ISTARI.

Her career began in military software architecture and evolved into group-level technology executive leadership, including a significant tenure as Group CISO and Group Director of Technology at Sky. There, she spearheaded a total strategic and cultural transformation of the group’s cybersecurity and supporting technology platforms and services.

Beyond her executive roles, Elaine acts as a strategic advisor and mentor, helping global organisations bridge the cyber risk maturity gap. She brings significant boardroom authority to the cyber domain, currently serving as an NED for a FTSE retailer and a UK financial institution, and as Chair for a technology business. At Istari, she leverages this expertise to help organisations navigate the disruptive trends that dictate business resilience.
