Robert is leading the introduction of ISTARI`s unique cyber resilience methodologies to core Temasek Portfolio and Fortune 150 companies active in the strategic Japanese market.

Prior to ISTARI, Robert was the founder of the Japanese & North Asia business of global EDR leader Tanium, and Cloud SIEM pioneer, Sumo Logic. Both of these engagements involved extensive advisory support to help bring these cutting edge security solutions to `the shop floor` of many of Japan`s top manufacturing, Financial Services and Telecommunications clients.

With over 30 years experience in CyberSecurity, Software, Telecom and high-tech industries with companies such as BEA Systems, EMC, Lenovo, GXS (now OpenText) and Ayaya, Mr. Stevenson has been driving international technology adaptation and businesses for Fortune 100 and startup companies `across the language barrier` leveraging his fluency in Japanese for all of his career.
Robert began his career in Japan in the global headquarters of a major Japanese Process Manufacturer, Dai Nippon Ink & Chemicals. During his 10 years in the Corporate Planning Department, he assisted numerous overseas acquisitions by the company, which included in-depth due-diligence of core manufacturing systems, security & compliance together with post-merger integration readiness preparations. 

Robert was born and raised outside of Boston, Massachusetts, and has been a resident of Tokyo the past 30 years. He has a BS degree from Colby College, during which time he first came to Japan under a Ministry of Education scholarship.
